Database Administrator

If you are a Database Administrator with Oracle RAC 10g/11g and SQL experience, please read on!

What you need for this position:

• Bachelor of Science in CS or related field
• At least 5 year experience in DBA position with Oracle RAC 10g/11g
• Understanding of Database concepts and queries
• Expert level knowledge of DB2, SQL Server, Linux, UNIX, Solaris, PL/SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, RAID, SAN, RMAN, Tivoli, VERITAS, Legato
• Oracle RAC, Partitioning, Replication, Data Guard, back and recovery, Real Application Testing

Bonus Skills
• Experience with video streaming protocols.
• Knowledge of OMA DS, RCS, Exchange ActiveSync Server standards

What youll be doing:

• Create and maintain databases for both production and test environments.
• Monitor the database to identify issues and bottlenecks and tune accordingly.
• Performance testing and tuning.
• Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
• Install and test upgrades and patches
• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency
• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
• To write and understand procedures using SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Load testing on a clone production database to validate migration scripts on a production-like database.
• Support the deployment team and QA team for database related issues.
