Engineering Lab Supervisor

OMAX Corporation is the leading provider of precision-engineered, computer-controlled, multi-axis (X-Y) abrasivejet systems for use in the manufacturing environment.  We revolutionized the industry by creating the OMAX JetMachining Center, the first truly affordable system to offer abrasivejet capabilities with consistent, precision results. As an Engineering Lab Supervisor, the qualified candidate will support Product Engineering and R&D groups with lab technician labor to facilitate testing and evaluation of electrical, mechanical and cutting model designs in addition to overseeing efforts in both the table cutting lab and pump development lab.   

• Coordinates technician assignments with project testing requirements
• Assists in clarification and organization of work for lab technicians
• Performs testing and assembly tasks
• Ensures a clean and safe work environment
• Ensures accurate data collection and reporting
• Ensures all required equipment and machines are maintained in proper working order
• Trains lab, field, and manufacturing technicians in the assembly and troubleshooting on new designs
• Approves lab technician time cards and PTO requests

 Requirements

• Working knowledge of OMAX and MAXIEM machines, and UHP equipment
• Excellent electro/mechanical troubleshooting skills
• 5 years previous experience in lab or shop environment
• 3 – 5 years supervisory experience
• Good communication skills
