Job Description of GSE / Fleet Mechanic
IAS a leading aviation service company has excellent opportunities for full-time GSE / Fleet Mechanic / Supervisor at SEA airport.
The GSE Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on airport ground support equipment, vehicles, and other related equipment.
Responsibilities of GSE Mechanic
- Diagnosing malfunctions utilizing technical drawing and testing equipment, and repairing GSE, utilizing appropriate equipment and tools.
- Inventory Control and the identification and scheduling of preventive maintenance requirements for ground support equipment.
- Inspects parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts.
- Repairs diesel engines, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems.
- Obtains replacement parts, installing and/or making repairs as required.
- Repairs may require rebuilding as assemblies, systems, etc.
- Confers with Manager for complex repairs, which require direction or approval for ordering of parts.
- Completion of GSE paperwork as required.
- Others duties as assigned. of GSE paperwork as required
RequirementsGSE Mechanic
Job Requirements of GSE / Fleet Mechanic
- Minimum three (3) years related experience.
- Must have knowledge of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as familiarity with winter operations equipment.
- Must have own tools and be able to operate various power and hand tools safely.
