Sr. System Engineer

This resource will be worked in a large enterprise architecture with 2 or more datacenters that are multi-tiered public facing. Candidate must be able to do installation, tuning and troubleshooting of Apache, Tomcat, Operating Systems. This person experience with full site development including the scope, architecting, building and maintaining. They will be troubleshooting existing architecture and build out primary and secondary systems in an on call environment. This resource will sit in Seattle.  Requirements

• at least 7 years experience as a Sr. Systems Administrator or Sr. Systems Engineer
• 70% Linux (at least 4 years)
• 30% Windows
• Strong Java/Tomcat/JBOSS experience (at least 4 years)
• Apache/IIS
• Experience in a production environment

Has some experience with 3 of the following technologies:

• CDN (Akamai, Limelight, Edgecast, etc)
• PCI compliance/audits
• Security/Hardening
• Monitoring and instrumentation
• Chef/Puppet/CFengine
• AWS (or other cloud platforms)

• worked in a large enterprise architecture (2 or more datacenters, multi-tiered public facing)
• participated in a full site development process (e.g. scope, architect, build, maintain)
• Worked in DevOps environment, but works in a production capacity (must be able to handle on-call duty and interface with other developers)
• Understand critical site support (escalation paths, etc)
• Candidate must be able to do installation, tuning and troubleshooting of Apache, Tomcat, Operating Systems.
• Familiar with SDLC and agile methodologies

• PHP/Zend
• BASH/Perl/Python or Ruby
• DNS management
• F5 Loadbalancers
• LDAP Authentication
• Must be familiar with Rest-Ful/SOAP/API/WSDL oriented communication between applications
• BS degree, MS preferred
• Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL
