Director, Clinical Applications at Seattle

We are looking for a skilled leader to fill the seat as the Clinical Director of Applications (specifically Cerner application). This individual should have EHR/EMR application experience and interest in a career path that is specifically focused on overseeing our clients enterprise EHR/EMR applications, including ambulatory. A successful candidate will come with a high regard for collaboration and is highly consultative. The Clinical Director oversees 4 teams: Clinical Informatics, Clinical Apps and devices, CIS, and Web Development teams. Totaling roughly (52) fulltime employees. This position will also require interfacing, doctors and nurses to ensure efficiency and buy-in. This organization has budget approval to execute initiatives steaming from ACA, Meaningful use, etc. for the next 5 years. Job Summary: Plan, develop and evaluate the support, maintenance, staff training and improvement of applications assigned to the Clinical Information Systems directorate. Manage and oversee small to medium size projects related to the development, production and implementation of assigned applications. Develop, implement and manage capital and operating budgets to manage and allocate resources in alignment of strategic needs. Evaluate and improve customer service, coordination of services across the Information Services department and ability to plan and deliver appropriate system capacity meet current and anticipated needs.

Bachelors degree in Business Admin, Computer Science or a related field, certification or equivalent technical training/work experience. - Ten years progressively responsible experience in Information Management, plus - Three years of experience supervising an applications team, with demonstrated experience developing and mentoring information services staff. Required Credentials: - N/A

Preferred: Director level EMR experience. Cerner experience preferred.
