Air Export Freight Specialist at Bellevue

Main focus of this position will be handling day to day international air export operations, rate quotes, and domestic transport as related to the international move. Knowledge of required documentation, export restrictions or limitations and experience in air freight export bookings and operations a must.

Key responsibilities

Preparation of export paperwork including HAWB, MAWB, required certificates, and AES submissions

Looking for team players that can work with customers and vendors closely to maintain current business and secure additional business

Knowledge of global routing and carrier options for international air export freight processes

Ability to understand the customers business needs, utilizing effective communication to maintain positive client relationships

Detail oriented, quick acting and organized individual required for efficient freight movement

Manage relationships with airlines and key vendors to help reduce costs, improve profits, and increase service levels

Education and Experience

AA/AS degree preferred or High School Diploma plus Equivalent Work Experience

2+ Years of direct experience in Operations and Customer Service in International Air Export position

Technical Skills and Competencies

Basic IATA / Air regulations and documentation requirements

NVOCC and ocean freight forwarding knowledge a plus, but not required

TSA Known Shipper database familiarity and associated regulations required

TSA Certification; up to date on TSA Regulations preferred

Current Hazardous Materials Certification preferred

Strong familiarity with ECCN classifications

Export Regulations and thorough knowledge of AES submission

Strong and Continued recent exposure to ITAR Shipments
