Salesforce.com Analyst / Programmer at Seattle

A Kforce client is seeking a Analyst / Programmer in Seattle, Washington (WA). The successful candidate must be able to work directly with the system/data, lead multiple technical projects or portions at one time, as well as provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the platform. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities. They will deal with highly ambiguous problems, taking full control and responsibility for finding solutions, and will drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce.com, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom code


• Responsible for developing in Visualforce, Apex, Java, AJAX, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions


• Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement


• Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace


• Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field


• 1+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com (Certified Salesforce.com Developer)


• Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API


• Detailed experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers


• Proficiency in HTML, XML, Flex, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, SOAP-based web services


• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users


• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills


• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams


• High standard of education or compensating work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field


• Certified Force.com Developer (DEV-401) or equivalent experience


• Certified Force.com Advanced Developer (DEV-501) or equivalent experience


• Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience


• Advanced SQL and Excel skills


• Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE)


• Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async


• Understanding of UI design principles and best practices


• Technical project management experience


• In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with good understanding of the business processes (Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, etc)


• Technical project management experience


• Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles
