Performance Engineer at Seattle

We are seeking a Performance Engineer in Seattle, WA. The primary focus for this Performance Engineer position will be the performance testing of software systems for the registration product. Responsibilities also include designing and building intelligent test systems that can simulate production load traffic. Reporting to the Senior Manager of QA, you will work closely with software developers in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This role is located in Seattle, Washington.

Duties include:

• Evaluate system performance establishing baselines and identifying relative change on a build / release basis and potentially per customer basis


• Perform capacity, scenario, and endurance tests


• Analyze scalability, throughput and load testing metrics against test servers


• Compare and contrast system performance with varying levels of physical resources (RAM, CPU cores, Disk caches, Network) and compute nodes


• Validate configurations (OS / JVM / system settings)


• Execute performance optimization experiments and recommend short and long term plans


• Measure, report, and recommend performance SLAs


• Improve and maintain new and existing performance test frameworks
