Sales Director Healthcare/LTC (Individual Contributor) at Seattle

Job Description

This individual is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within an assigned territory. Establishes and executes strategies and plans to expand the customer base within the assigned territory to contribute to maximum growth and profitability. The position is an individual contributor role and will not be managing any direct reports.

Analyzes and segments the market to identify and execute the required go-to-market strategy and tactics to maximize sales within the assigned territory.

  • Regularly engages in thorough account and pipeline reviews to frequently report progress towards goals and objectives.
  • Complies with all sales processes and sales activity reporting. Maintains account and prospect performance utilizing customer relationship management tools.
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with clients and key decision-makers by providing support, information, and guidance. Researches and recommends new opportunities that maximize profitability and meet customer service needs.
  • Upholds organizational standards for quality service delivery. Acts as a trusted advisor to customers through a comprehensive understanding of the long term care business.

Creates and conducts proposal presentations and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, including pricing and service deliverables.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies to foster continued growth and knowledge of the Long Term Care industry
  • Participates in Trade Shows, Conventions, and other industry programs. Actively sources leads through these opportunities. Documents and manages all follow-up activities.
  • Collaborates with divisional leader(s) and General Managers within the assigned territory to ensure sales targets are met. Regularly discusses territory performance along with internal and external trends impacting sales performance.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)

Bachelors Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field.

Minimum five years of proven sales experience preferably within a complex solution selling

environment. Existing relationships with Long Term Care Facilities.

Experience within the Long Term Care Pharmacy highly preferred.

Excellent business acumen and financial savvy

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;

Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 75%
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers in a Windows/Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management Tools. Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.

Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
