NURSING ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR at Coupeville

Job Description

  • The Nursing Administrative Supervisor assists administration and directors/managers in the day-to-day management of operations. In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer and in collaboration with the unit based management team, the supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care. He/she acts as the on site hospital administrative designee after normal business hours, which includes the authority and responsibility for operations, administrative decisions, interface with community organizations and appropriate notification of the responsible hospital executive as the situation requires. In collaboration with the unit director/manager, the supervisor supports the development, management, and evaluation of the nursing staff and patient care activities after normal business hours. He/she is responsible for the allocation and management of departmental resources that promote optimal efficiency and patient outcomes.

    EDUCATION: Registered Nurse in the State of Washington, Bachelors degree in Nursing required, Masters degree in health related field preferred, Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification, Current Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) verification

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years full-time post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute setting, prior experience at the unit based charge nurse level, board certification in a hospital based clinical nursing specialty or in nursing administration
